The Feast of St. Vincent Weekend

As we mark our 175th anniversary this fall, we chose “Find Your Inner St. Vincent” as the theme of our feast day celebration. Inspired by the life of St. Vincent, we strive to find ways to step outside our comfort zone as find ways to serve others. Learn more about our theme.

A Day of Service and Fellowshipstvincent2

Saturday, Sept. 24

8:15 AM – Harvest apples with the Baltimore Orchard Project, which promotes the growing of fruit trees and brings the fruit to the hungry. Transportation from St. V will be provided. Cost is $5 per family.

11:30 AM – Make applesauce with imperfect apples in the undercroft. (Perfect apples go to food programs.)

8:30 AM – Create mats from used grocery bags for those who sleep on the ground. Takes place in the undercroft, drop in any time after 8:30 AM.

Mass and a Parish Picnic in the Park

Sunday, Sept. 25

10 AM – MassChurch – We will celebrate a single Sunday Mass planned by the Social Action Committee.

11:15 – 11:45 AMFaith Fun Fellowship Undercroft
St. Vincent de Paul (yes, the man) will defy the laws of time and space to join us to answer the children’s questions about his life in this special edition of FFF.

11:30 – 1:30 PM – Parish Picnic – St. Vincent’s Park

Join us in fellowship with each other and all who come to our park. There will be grilled burgers (veggie and beef), hot dogs, side dishes, desserts and corn hole.

11:45 – 12:45 – Children’s Activities – Undercroft
Children can play games like bingo and corn hole (and win prizes!) or make crafts.

11:45 – 12:45 – Port Discovery Program – Undercroft Port Discovery’s Museum on the Road will visit, hosting a program called “World Drum.”
