Volunteers from St. Vincent's distribute bags of groceries every
Monday from 12:30-2:00 pm. Approximately 100 registered families
receive one bag of food each month from this program. Foods are
purchased from the Maryland Food Bank. Some surplus foods are
received from the US Government and some donated by the Mars
Supermarket on Padonia Road.
An annual
Craft Sale is held in Mid-November to raise monies for 150 extra
bags with additional food items for Christmas. If you are a
crafter and would like to make items to contribute, please
contact Jane Seipp, 410.515.7645
This program
also benefits from donations of plastic supermarket bags brought
in by Parishioners. Approximately three times a year, volunteers
are requested to help with transporting food from the Food Bank.

Men’s Clothing Program
Contact: Winnie Gift, 410.668.1964
Volunteers
from Arnolia Methodist Church, First Christian Church, and St.
Vincent’s distribute clothing to street-dwelling men from
12:00-1:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month, from
September to June.
Clothing is
obtained by purchase from second-hand shops and flea markets,
and from donations. Seasonally appropriate and practical
clothing in good condition - such as jeans, sports shirts,
handkerchiefs, gloves, stocking hats, sweatshirts, sweat pants,
jackets, socks, and shoes - may be brought in by Parishioners at
any time. Men’s toiletries and sundries - such as travel-sized
bars of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, lotion,
and new wash cloths - are also requested and may be brought in at
any time.
A Christmas
party is held for the men on the second Thursday of December.
Donations of NEW, UNWRAPPED clothing items for this party will
be accepted up until the Sunday before the event.
Donations of
funds may be designated for the St. Vincent’s Emergency Services
Program.
