Catholic News Service is the premier religious
news gathering service in the world, maintaining bureaus and
reporters in the US, Rome, and other capitals around the globe. It's reporting and
services are used by print journals and broadcasters throughout the
world. CNS was created in 1920 by
the bishops of the United States. It is editorially
independent and a financially self-sustaining division of the U.S.
Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The Catholic Review Online
The Catholic Review is the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of
Baltimore. The newspaper maintains a full online version.
The National
Catholic Reporter Online
The National Catholic Reporter is an independent weekly
publication that covers Catholic and religious issues. It is
highly respected for its often courageous and truth-telling stances
on controversial issues.
Heritage Walk
Heritage Walk connects 20 historic sites and museum in downtown
Baltimore just a short walk beyond the Inner Harbor. Uniformed
guides offer 90 minute, narrated walks starting from the Visitor's
Center. Or walkers can follow a clearly marked trail and use a
24 page map booklet for a self-guided tour. Tours cover the
Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Jonestown, and Downtown. St.
Vincent de Paul church is Star Attraction #14 on the Heritage Walk
tour.
