Cycle A Readings - 2007-2008

The Liturgy Committee serves the needs of the worshipping community at St. Vincent’s. The goal of this committee is the spiritual development of the entire community and the empowerment of the priesthood of the community. Through training and collaborative efforts with ordained ministers, we seek the full manifestation of the Word in liturgy. Liturgies span the sacramental life of parish members.

The liturgy committee has an elected chair and vice-chair. Membership is open to all parish members. The main tasks for this committee involve responsibility for Sunday Eucharistic celebrations as well as all sacramental and prayer services.

Four seasonal planning sessions occur for Advent, Lent, Summer, and Ordinary time. Broad thematic planning takes place at these sessions according to the Scriptures for the season. In this planning, efforts are made to reflect the mission of various parish groups, e.g. social justice, education, married couples, etc.
