RCIA-Packets
Two critically important components of the education program
at St. Vincent are organized by the Director of Religious
Education for Adults.
RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a
journey for those seeking information about Catholicism and
those with the desire of being fully incorporated into the
Church. Patterned after the catechumenate of the ancient church,
the revised program begins in Lent and culminates with the
Baptism and/or Confirmation of the catechumens/candidates at
the Easter Vigil. The program has educational components as well
as ritual components as the RCIA travelers are introduced and
made part of the worshiping community. For more
information, contact the DRE for Adults, Anne Maura English at
St. Vincent's.
"Together Sharing Christ" known more commonly as
"The Packet." St. Vincent's has pioneered the distribution
of this 20+ page educational supplement for over 20 years.
It is published and mailed 6 times a year to over 400 families
in many states and xxxx countries who request to be on the St.
Vincent's distribution list. The Packet contains reprints
of serious articles about the faith, letters from the Pastor and
Editor, minutes of Parish Council meetings, as well as family
oriented activities appropriate to the various seasons.
You can download PDF files of past Packets here, or request
that you be placed on the St. V's mailing list to receive future
packets.
