The Art & Architectures Committee
serves as the voice of the parish in planning and overseeing
long-range improvements of the parish plant. Its primary
concern is the on-going renovation of the church and
rectory. The Sesquicentennial Renovation (the third major
renovation of St. Vincent’s since it opened its doors in
1841) began in 1992. Since then, the A&A Committee has
guided the phased renovation of the Church, the renovation of the Rectory/Parish Center,
and most recently the restoration of the tower. In addition,
the Art & Architecture Committee concerns itself with the
integrity of the parish buildings, particularly the
renovations that have already been accomplished.
Over
$3.5 million has been invested in capital improvements for
these projects in order to make the parish facilities
compatible with contemporary needs while at the same time
“respecting the footprints of our ancestors” in the historic
properties.
The A&A Committee meets periodically as need arises. Contact
the chair with your interest to serve or a particular
concern.
