The Parish Council of St. Vincent De Paul is the Governing Board of the parish.  In consultation with the Pastor, it makes major decisions that determine the Parish's direction, how it serves its members, and how it relates to the ecclesiastical and secular world beyond St. Vincent's.  Its members include both parish officeholders and elected representatives.  The officeholders are the Pastor, two corporators, and the chairs of the Parish's committees.  In addition, the Parish elects representatives from each of the parish liturgies to serve two-year terms.  Currently there are five representatives from the 9:30 a.m. Sunday liturgy, one from the 11:45 a.m. Sunday liturgy, two from the 7:15 p.m. Saturday liturgy, and one from the 12:15 a.m. Saturday night liturgy.  The number of elected representatives from each liturgy is determined by the proportional number of people who regularly attend these liturgies. 

At the first Parish Council meeting after the annual election in May, Council members select their officers for the coming year.

The Parish Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m., September through June.  It makes its decisions on the basis of consensus.  All members of the Parish community are welcome to attend and participate in Parish Council meetings.
