Peace &
Justice Contact: Chuck Frascati, 410-663-5542

The Peace and
Justice Committee has been active at St. Vincent's parish for
well over twenty years and has maintained a focus on social
justice issues whose impact can be felt locally, nationally and
internationally. The committee strives to educate itself and
the parish at large about matters of concern and to then
formulate a response or action. The committee is presently
focused on a number of issues including:
-
Fostering our relationship with our
sister parish, San Juan de Limay, in Nicaragua
-
Working with our local Habitat for
Humanity affiliate
-
Becoming better informed about various
human rights issues.
Monthly meetings are held on Friday
evenings at the homes of committee members. Dates are set at the
previous meeting and sent out via e-mail with the meeting
minutes. Anyone interested is welcome to attend the meetings
and decide if they'd like to become involved.
Peace and Justice has strong ties to
Habitat for Humanity.
St. Vincent's efforts are currently coordinated by Richard Ulrich.
