Liturgy planners are responsible for developing the Call to 
Worship, Penitential Rite (when applicable) and the Petitions in concert with the homilist. Liturgy planners function within a team for the special seasons of Advent. Lent, Easter, and the Summer Scripture Series when a central theme has been chosen. The Liturgy Committee provides formal training for liturgy planners on a regular basis but individual training can also be provided through mentoring to those who feel called to minister as planners.
